Gran Fondo Bike Division Peschiera del Garda, which will be held Sunday September 27th 2015 is born.
The race to get one of the 1,000 bibs available starts tonight at midnight on the official website of the event www.gfbikedivisionpeschiera.com.
The unprecedented bicycle tour received the patronage and support of the City of Peschiera del Garda (VR), the resort of Veneto Garda Lake, that bet on amateur cycling movement to promote sustainable mobility. Peschiera del Garda will make its facilities available, from parking to all services for the event secretariat, such as the delivery of accreditations and race packs and is going to host as well the expo area which will be staged in the beautiful historic center.

Athletes will have two tracks suitable for all: the long of 100 km and the short of 70 km, which details will be revealed shortly. This new appointment for cycling lovers has already all the credentials to represent the perfect combination of sport and territory targeted promotion.
«We expect a successful event because the location offered is ideal for events like this with so many participants» explains Filippo Gavazzoni, Peschiera del Garda Councillor delegated to tourism, events, port and computerization. «We are confident that the architectural – monuments structure of our city will be enhanced by the Gran Fondo. Our administration believe very much in sustainable tourism, Peschiera-Mantova bike lane, which starts precisely from our city, is Europe’s busiest one».
Enthusiastic also Andrea Tonti, former professional and co-founder of the travel agency specialized in holiday and marathon for cyclists in Italy and abroad: «I accepted without hesitation the chance to become the main sponsor of the event because Peschiera del Garda is part of a land that has always fascinated me, ever since I was a rider in the top category, and because the proposal was put forward to me by Tazio Palvarini, Colnago Cycling Festival organizer, a friend who I really trust. I consider it an excellent showcase for a company like mine, that was born, grew up and consolidated on bicycle tourism. For a Gran Fondo Lake Veneto area is perfect because it offers unique views and roads, for this reason with my wife Michela, my partner in the Tour Operator, we answered yes.
