Drapac Professional Cycling is set to launch the second half of the 2015 season off at the Prudential RideLondon-Surrey Classic on Sunday 2 August. Britain’s greatest one-day bike race is back and this year’s fast and furious showdown will see 150 of the world’s top pro cyclists take on a 200km route through London and Surrey. The route is a variation on the London 2012 Olympic Road Cycling Race route.

Nachdem Sie den Schritt bis zum Profi Continental Team im Jahre 2014 machten, hat Drapac Professional Cycling-Team wieder einmal eine Berufs Continental Lizenz für 2015. Ernst & Young und die UCI bewerteten, dass das Team die ethischen, finanziellen und administrativen Anforderungen erfüllt .
Teammanager Jonathan Breekveldt ist natürlich zufrieden mit der Bestätigung, dass das Team ein Teil der zweiten Stufe der Profi-Radsport-Teams im Jahr 2015 sein wird.
„Natürlich war ich mir sicher, wir würden die Lizenz bekommen, aber ich halte immer noch für wirklich wichtig, dass die UCI und Ernst & Young haben einen genauen Blick auf Haushalte, Versicherungen und andere Aspekte. Dies gibt Organisatoren, Teams, Partnern und Fahrern einige Garantien. Wir für unseren Teil sind dankbar, dass die UCI dem Team half, angesichts der Tatsache, dass wir auf der anderen Seite der Welt basieren.

Will Clarke has claimed Drapac Professional Cycling’s first podium of the 2014 Jayco Herald Sun Tour with third place in the twilight 2.5km Prologue through the Melbourne CBD.
The Tasmanian clocked a time of 3:02.51 and played a waiting game in the hot seat as one of the early riders on course, only to be gradually be usurped by New Zealand’s Tom Scully (3:01.08) and finally Jack Bauer (Garmin Sharp) who came into the finish line in a time of 3:00.90.
