Amgen Tour of California Stage 5:

Iván García Cortina (Bahrain-Merida) sprinted to victory on stage 5 of the Tour of California in Ventura on Thursday, triumphing from a small group after the peloton splintered on an unclassified climb close to the finish.
Maximiliano Richeze (Deceuninck-QuickStep) took second place after leading out the sprint, while Sergio Higuita (EF Education First) finished third – his best result since joining the US squad at the start of the month. Higuita’s teammate, Tejay van Garderen, retains the race lead.

Dubai, 4 February 2017 – Marcel Kittel (Quick-Step Floors) won his second straight Dubai Tour in style as he claimed the conclusive stage in a bunch gallop ahead of Elia Viviani (Team Sky) and Riccardo Minali (Astana Pro Team) after the peloton caught breakaway riders Floris Gerts (BMC Racing Team), Dmitriy Gruzdev (Astana Pro Team), Ivan Garcia Cortina (Bahrain-Merida) and Matteo Bono (UAE Abu Dhabi). The German star added Stage 5 and the General Classification to reach the total of 75 pro career victories.
