Johannes Fröhlinger verlängert bei Argos-Shimano bis 2015

Team Argos-Shimano has extended the contracts of Johannes Fröhlinger (GER), Koen de Kort (NED), Tom Veelers (NED) and Albert Timmer (NED). All four riders will stay with the team for two more years, through 2015. “We are happy to have these riders on board for the next two seasons,” said general manager Iwan Spekenbrink. All four riders have shown their importance throughout the year and have contributed in significant ways to the team’s successes.”
“Fröhlinger will continue to develop in his role as a team captain, which he played with great success in races like the Vuelta a España and the Tour de France,” said coach Rudi Kemna.

De Kort, Veelers and Timmer will continue as vital links in the team’s sprint train.
“We expect Koen to ride in a support capacity in the sprint train, but he will also chase victory himself during the spring classics,” added Kemna. “This last year he had back luck and couldn’t show his full strength, but his focus is now on next year.

“Tom, another core member of the team, has developed over the past few years into one of the best lead-out men in the bunch, but he is also able to get strong results himself in sprints as well as in classics like Paris-Roubaix.

“Albert has been in our team from the beginning. He is a rider with great possibilities. He is versatile and team-oriented.

“We are looking forward to supporting the further development of these riders during the next two seasons, and also seeing how they help the younger riders progress.”
