In the first wave of mid-season transfers the Caja-Rural Seguros RGA team has confirmed the signing of Italian rider Danilo Celano from Amore & Vita – Selle SMP for the remainder of 2017 and through to 2018.

The 27 year-old comes into the squad with an impressive season under his belt claiming a solo victory in the Giro dell’Appennino (1.1) as well as a top-ten result in the Tour of the Alps (2.HC).

Celano will make his debut for the team at the Vuelta Burgos (2.HC) which takes place from the 1 – 5 August.

The Italian will serve as a good reinforcement for the team for the later part of the season where the they will dispute several of the prestigious Italian semi-classics held in September.

Celano will add to the Italian flavour already in the team thanks to its existing clothing suppliers, Nalini, also based in Italy.
