Florian Vogel and Gunn Rita Dahle Flesja Trofeo Delcar king and queen

Swiss Florian Vogel and Norwegian Gunn Rita Dahle Flesjå won the HC International race of today in Montichiari (BS).
Trofeo Delcar, Italian Series second stage, offered an excitement show to the large audience who rushed to the technical track drawn on San Pancrazio Hill.
In the men’s Open race Vogel turned in a solo race, being able to make the difference right from the first lap of the six scheduled. The Focus XC Team rider in the lead from start to finish reached Piazza Santa Maria 1’33“ before local hero Marco Aurelio Fontana (Cannondale Factory Racing) and 2’01“ before of the other Italian Andrea Tiberi (FRM Factory Racing).
«It was the perfect day for me, I attacked from the beginning and continued with my pace, but it was not easy. The course was challenging and really dusty.

It was great to hear the big appaluse from the first to the last kilometer. The Italian tifosi were very respectful. Next Sunday I will be in Nalles (BZ), this year I will live the season week to week hoping to continue like I started» commented Vogel after being crowned king of 2015 Trofeo Delcar.
In the women race we saw a two riders challange until the last round when on the „bestemmia (blasphemy) climb“ the expert Multivan Merida Biking Team rider left the company of Polish Maja Wloszczowska (Kross Racing Team) who reached the finish line 19″ after her. On the podium, in third place, the French Margot Moschetti (Betch.nl Superior Brentjens) that ended 46″ after the Norwegian.
«I had to get to 42 years to wear a crown» jokes the 2004 Olympic champion, six times World Champion. «Today I hit the first important goal that I set for myself this season. I love racing in Italy, Montichiari welcomed us at best, I enjoyed this race a lot. Next weekend I will race in Nalles too, then I will focus on the World Cup and Andorra World Championship. Both xc and marathon season has just begun, I am not at the top, but on the right way».
Gerhard Kerschbaumer (Bianchi i.idro Drain) and Anna Oberparleiter (Carraro Team Trentino Ale) are leading Italian Series after today second stage.
Large participation to the UCI XCO Junior Series Italian stage. Prince and princess, of the category are German Lars Koch (Germany National Team) and Sweden’s Ida Jansson (Sweden National Team).
In the youth categories victories for Esordienti Gianmarco Vignaioli (ASD Giovo Team Torpado-1st year), Alessandro Motta (Spreafico Team Velo Plus-2nd year), Letizia Motalli (ASD Alpin Bike Edili Team-1st year) and Marta Zanga (ASD Team Bramati-2nd year); Zaccaria Toccoli (Carraro Team Trentino Ale), Ilaria Pola (Melavì Focus Bike) among those born in 2000 and Edoardo Xillo (Ass. Scuola Naz. MTB Oasi) and Sara Casasola (Jam’s Bike Team Buja) of class ’99.
