– The most emblematic rider from Vendee is Jean-René Bernaudeau, who was born in St Maurice-le-Girard, five kilometres from Mouilleron. The Direct Eneergie team manager, founder of the Vendee U amateur team.
– To honour its two celebrities, Mouilleron is home to the Clemenceau-Delattre national museum. The museum retraces their lives through works of art and documents in the very house in which Jean de Lattre was born.
La Roche-sur-Yon

– Located in the heart of Vendee on a rock overlooking the Yon valley, La Roche sur Yon first developed around its castle.
– The Napoleon Square, know to the locals as Place Nap, is the site of a mechanical bestiary invented by sculptor Francois Delatoziere.
