Team Argos-Shimano: Nikias Arndt und Johannes Fröhlinger fahren zur Vuelta
Hier der komplette Pressetext: On August 24, the 68th edition of the Vuelta a España, one of the most prestigious races of the year, will start with a team effort, a team time trial from Vilanova de Arousa to Sanxenxo. The three-week Grand Tour will finish 3,319.1 km later on September 15 in Madrid. The Vuelta will cover 21 stages, comprising 1 team time trial, 13 mountain stages, 6 flat stages and 1 individual time trial. Team Argos-Shimano has preselected 12 riders as potential participants in the race. Out of this preselected pool, a balanced nine-rider roster will be announced one week ahead of the Vuelta. The team will be aiming for success in sprint stages but also in the hillier stages, where an offensive strategy will be deployed. “We have a very diverse preselection, with all kinds of riders in the team. We are chasing stage success with a strong selection that includes young riders who will be getting their first Grand Tour experience. All the riders will be very eager to show their specialty during the race and to contribute to the team’s success,” said coach Christian Guiberteau (FRA). General manager Iwan Spekenbrink (NED) is looking forward to the performance of the youngsters in the Vuelta a España: “Our young talents have developed very well this year and have showed their potential, so they deserve the Vuelta a España selection. Their selection is for the present and the future: they will contribute to the team’s performance, and the Vuelta will support their further development.”

Team Argos-Shimano: Nikodemus Holler wird Stagiaire bis zum Saisonende
Mit Nikodemus Holler vom Thüringer Energie Team holen die Holländer erneut einen deutschen Fahrer, vorläufig erst als Stagiaire, in ihre Mannschaft. Weitere Stagiaires sind der Schwede Michael Olsson sowie Quentin Jauregui aus Frankreich. Bei der 100. Tour de France treten derzeit gleich vier deutsche Radprofis bei Argos-Shimano in die Pedale. Neben dem dreimaligen Etappensieger Marcel Kittel sind dies der Weissenburger John Degenkolb der Berliner Simon Geschke und Johannes Fröhlinger aus Gerolstein.
