Drapac up to fifth in Tour Down Under Team Classification

Drapac Professional Cycling continues to make an impact in their first WorldTour event, the Santos Tour Down Under. Stage 4 saw the peloton take on windy conditions between Unley and Victor Harbour with sprinter Jonathan Cantwell finishing 12th in the fast finish.

Cantwell was one of five Drapac riders to finish in the front group, moving the squad up to fifth in the Team Classification, 3:42 behind leaders BMC Racing Team. Twenty-three-year-old Robbie Hucker now sits 24th on General Classification, 1:18 in arrears of Cadel Evans (BMC Racing Team).

Will Clarke ( Drapac Professional Cycling ) hat auf der ersten Etappe der Santos Tour Down Under eine starke Leistung in seinem Debüt-Auftritt auf der UCI Worldtour gemacht.

Clarke beherzigte die Worte von DS Henk Vogels, wenige hundert Meter nach dem Start mit UniSA’s Neil Van der Ploeg zu attackieren. .

Drapac Professional Cycling’s 2014 season has been launched in Adelaide, Australia,
ahead of the Professional Continental team’s UCI WorldTour debut at the Santos
Tour Down Under.

All 17 riders that make up the squad took to the Mercury
Cinema stage as the unique philosophy of Drapac Professional Cycling was brought
to life in front of media and invited guests including South Australian Minister
for Tourism Recreation and Sport, Hon. Leon Bignell, MP.

Team Principal and highly successful property mogul Michael Drapac spoke emotionally of the importance of developing athletes outside their sport, and how “every worthy
business has a social responsibility agenda.”

Der einundzwanzig Jahre alte Jordan Kerby wird der erste Fahrer sein sein, der in Drapac Pro Cycling 2014 Australien-Verkehrs National Championships Kampagne am Mittwoch in der Zeitfahr Veranstaltung antritt. Kerby wird der vorletzte Fahrer aus dem Starthaus in der U-23- Männer- Zeitfahren sein, und gibt zu, es ist etwas Druck um seine Fahrt angebracht.
