On Sunday, July 2, Team Dimension Data for Qhubeka lines up for Tour of Austria with a strong and very motivated team ready to fight for glory every day.

The opening stage of the race is a short prologue. However, despite its distance of only 800 meters, it’s far from easy. The riders climb all the way from the start to the finish in Graz, tackling an ascent with an average gradient of over 10 %. The next day, the sprinters will have a chance to shine as the peloton heads into Vienna for an expected bunch sprint in the Austrian capital. Two undulating finishes then follow before it’s time for the queen stage of the race.

Tour des Fjords #5: Boasson Hagen wins final stage and overall GC

Superb team effort by Team Dimension Data for Qhubeka secures overall victory for Boasson Hagen
Edvald Boasson Hagen made it a hatrick of stage victories and won the final stage of the Tour des Fjords and with it, the overall general classification as well. Timo Roosen (LottoNL-Jumbo) was 2nd on the final stage and Jereon Meijers (Roompot) placed 3rd.

The final stage of the Tour des Fjords got underway in the pouring rain and cold but the racing got heated really early on. 4 riders got away in an early move but as the wind picked up, the peloton was forced into the gutter and the echelons formed. With 100km to go, the break was caught with the race splitting to pieces. Team Dimension Data for Qhubeka was relishing the tough conditions, keeping Boasson Hagen well placed up at the front.

Fans can support the team through the Qhubeka 5000 initiative
Team Dimension Data for Qhubeka will return to the Tour de France after a successful premiere 12 months ago, setting another massive milestone for African cycling. Once again the team will take to the start of the La Grand Boucle with clear objectives. Steve Cummings’ stage win on Mandela Day, Daniel Teklehaimanot’s days in the Polka Dot jersey and a fifth place in the overall team classification were the key results last year and are the signposts for our African Team’s goals for the 2016 edition of the race.

With less than two weeks left to the Grand Depart it is with great pleasure and excitement that we officially announce the 13 rider list from which the final 9 riders will be decided.

Mit der Anwesenheit von Sprintstars Mark Cavendish und André Greipel , feiert die Presidential Tour of Turkey „50 Jahre Radsport- Leidenschaft “  ist offen für eine große Skala vom Ehrgeiz, des jüngsten Fahrers des Feldes, Merhawi Kudut, bis zum ältesten Fahrer auf der Startliste, Davide Rebellin .
Die Presidential Tour of Turkey auf dem Radsport-Kalender als der Marmara -Tour in1963 gegründet, verfügt über seine „50 Jahre Radsport-Leidenschaft“  in Form von acht Etappen von Alanya nach Istanbul und ist damit das einzige internationale Radrennen das zwei Kontinente verbindet – und in einer Etappe, die letzten geht es über den magischen Bosporus. Entlang des Mittelmeers und der Ägäis, finden zwei Wettbewerbe statt – das am meisten renommierte ist ein Sprint zwischen  Mark Cavendish und Andre Greipel und das offene Rennen für die Gesamtwertung.
